Obituary: Barbara D. Ciola, 84, Beloved Mother, Grandmother

Barbara D. Ciola, 84, of Orange, beloved wife of the late Konstantine J. Ciola, passed away on January 22, 2017.
She was born in Derby, CT on February 15, 1932, daughter of the late Ralph Wilbur and Thelma Appelt Davis.
Barbara was an active member of the Orange Historical Society for many years.
She was an excellent cook with a knack for baking. Barbara loved her flower garden and enjoyed watching birds. She also loved dogs and cats but nothing compared to the love she had for her family.
Barbara is survived by her children, Anne (Chris) Tasso, William (Roni) Ciola and John Ciola; grandchildren, Kenny (Jessa) Ciola, Jessie (Jeff) Kuchar, Shauna Ciola, Jenna Ciola, and Kyle Ciola; great-granddaughter, Bailey Ciola; sister, Judy Zaprzalka; sister-in-law, Sophie Connor; caregiver, Jen Morgan; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother, Paul Davis.
Friends and family may call on Thursday, January 26, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad Street Milford, CT. A Funeral Service will take place at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will follow at Mt. St. Peter Cemetery, 219 New Haven Ave., Derby, CT 06418. Memorial donations in Barbara’s honor may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
