Gary Teller, 68, of Orange passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on September 28, 2021 at the St. Raphael Campus of Yale New Haven Hospital after a long and courageous battle with kidney disease.

Born in New Haven on October 11, 1952, he was a loving son of the late Robert and Annette (Proctor) Teller

Survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Ann (Blinderman) Teller; cherished brother Stephen (Janet) Teller of Silver Spring, MD and devoted brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Harold Blinderman and Wanda Schulman of West Hartford.

He was “Uncle Gary” to his loving nephews, Danny Blinderman (fiancée, Rachel Sandalow-Ash), Aaron Blinderman, Bruce (Sherri) Teller and Michael Teller (Madeline Pellish).

He was also a devoted dog daddy to Siberian Huskies Cinder, Zoe and Alex who will all meet him with their “loose tails” at the Rainbow Bridge.

To Gary, the most important part of his life was being with his family and friends. He loved getting together to eat, laugh and enjoy everyone’s company. He was the life of every party and his witty sense of humor always offered quick comebacks.

Always color coordinated with his favorite baseball caps, t-shirts, shorts, flashy socks and the most colorful sneakers Zappos had to offer, Gary’s favorite past times included driving his MINI, Jeep Wrangler, and Dodge Ram truck.

Washing and waxing his cars were his labor of love. He also loved listening to rock music and attending concerts featuring his favorite artists, especially Bruce Springsteen.

He loved living in Orange and was known as the mayor of his neighborhood, always greeting neighbors with a smile while walking his dogs.

He and Ann met on a cruise and together they enjoyed taking cruising vacations to celebrate their anniversaries. Their most memorable trips included Alaska and Israel.

Gary enjoyed a long career as a bicycle parts and accessories sales representative for J&B Importers. Known to his bike shop customers as “Mr. Partz,” Gary always considered them as friends. He was passionate and knowledge about the bike industry and always offered advice while writing orders. He was always ready to step in if something did not go according to plan.

Gary was a gentle, loveable and caring person who would go out of his way to help someone in need. He will be greatly missed by all he leaves behind.
