Sheryl Goldman (Quellman), 76, of Orange, and formerly of Brooklyn, NY, beloved wife of Philip Goldman for 52 years, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, in the comfort of her home. Born on February 12, 1948, in Queens, NY, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Elaine (Miller) Quellman.

She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and accomplished professional over 2 careers. Sheryl dedicated 30 years to working for the NYC Department of Probation, where she retired as a Branch Chief in Queens. Upon retirement at age 50, she pursued a second career in the financial field working for Prudential, leading financial seminars, and helping her clients plan for retirement.

Sheryl was an avid runner and exercise enthusiast who loved her step and Zumba classes, a lover of country music, a frequent concert attendee, and enjoyed traveling with her husband to their favorite destinations.

Nothing was more important to Sheryl than her close-knit family. She left NYC and relocated to CT to be closer to her grandsons when they were still babies. She spent many days caring for them along with their Grandpa and taking them on fun adventures.

In addition to her beloved husband Philip, survivors include her only daughter, Lynda Goldman-Leng, two cherished and adored grandsons, Brody and Jaxon, sisters, Joni Quellman and Janet Quellman, two sisters-in-law, Miriam Goldman and her husband Alan and Paula Goldman, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is pre-deceased by her loving brother-in-law, Neil Goldman, her beloved Aunt Marilyn Agins, and cousin Jami Agins. The family would like to thank her niece Debi Goldman for all of the care she provided to Sheryl before her passing, as well as the world-class team of doctors and nurses at Yale New Haven Hospital.

A graveside service took place on Monday, May 6, 2024, at noon at Orange Center Cemetery.
