Paul Varrecchio 95, of Orange, beloved husband of the late Eleanor DePito Varrecchio passed away on June 2, 2024 at Yale New Haven Hospital.
Loving father of Linda (Christopher) Demiel of Sandy Hook, Steven P. Varrecchio of VA, Joanne (Anthony) Salvati of Wallingford and Glenn A. (Juliet) Varrecchio of Prospect. Cherished grandfather of Jessica, Katelyn, Michael, Cassandra and Daniel. Great grandfather of Madelyn and Mikayla.
Paul was born in New Haven on September 16, 1928 son of the late Alfred and Josephine Draccio Varrecchio.
He was a devoted parishioner of Holy Infant Church for 65 years. Paul served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Prior his retirement, Paul worked in sales for many trucking companies and Pace Motor Lines being his last employer.
Family and friends may call at the Porto Funeral Home, 830 Jones Hill Rd., West Haven, on Wednesday, June 5, from 5 to 7 p.m.
His funeral procession will leave the funeral home on Thursday, June 6 at 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Holy Infant Church at 11 a.m. Interment with military honors will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
