Lois A. Chadwick, 74, independent, happy, creative, beautiful woman, hard worker, seamstress, spunky, dedicated recycler, mother, friend, partner, sister, grandmother, aunt, Marco Island Moose Lodge member and skilled bingo player, passed away peacefully March 2, 2016 at Avow Hospice, Naples.
Born June 21, 1941 in New Haven, CT to Wallace and Julia (Ciola) Loman. Lois was a business woman and expert hairdresser, owning her own salon in Hamden, CT for more than 20 years. After retiring to Naples, FL, Lois worked for over 10 years as a crack security guard at Ships Landing on Marco Island.
Lois leaves behind her two siblings, Julie Dinan of Milford, CT and Wallace Loman of Orange, nieces, nephews and great nieces.
Lois was first and foremost a loving mother to Jacquelin Montclair of Cheshire, CT and Christopher Chadwick of Hamden, CT. She was a kind gentle grandmother to Alexander Montclair of Los Angeles, CA and Samuel Montclair of Mebane, NC. Most importantly, Lois was a partner and best friend to her longtime love, Dick Pence of Elyria, OH.
Lois, a character with a capital “C”, will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. A celebration of her amazing life will be held at Hodges Josberger Funeral Home on Marco Island on Friday March 4th from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm with a Memorial Service at 11:00 am.
We cannot thank Avow Hospice of Naples enough for all of the expert, kind and compassionate care that they gave to Lois and our family. Our hearts will be forever grateful.
