Screen Shot 2016-06-17 at 2.35.19 PMWe are all saddened and searching for appropriate words to describe the loss of our families’ founder Pasquale Ernest Luciano Sr., who passed away peacefully on Thursday June 9, 2016 with his family by his side at his home in Orange.

He is beloved by us all. You would realize that his smile, filled with charisma, was always at the forefront. He made us laugh and wanted us all to enjoy each day we are blessed with. He was a fighter through his illness; he made it clear: “no tears for me, I had a great life, wonderful children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, stay happy for me.” All of us cannot help the sadness of seeing the separation of our dad with his best friend and love of his life, Mary. They were married for 62 years, and set an example of love and loyalty to us all. Pat and Mary will forever dwell in our hearts. May God bless us all.

He leaves behind his twin sister, Rosemarie Bufano and her husband, Joseph, his sister, Carol Stone and her husband, Manas Ronald; three sons, Pasquale, Jr. (Solin), Joseph, and Ronald and his daughter, Gina, “His Girl Friday;” His grandchildren, Jessica, Malina, Kelly, Kristen, Roxanne, Doris, Kevin, Leah and Alaina. Alaina was pinned into a nurse by “Pop Pop,” as we lovingly called him. Pop was so proud of Alaina, as we all are, and he was the reason she is now an Oncology Nurse.

He also leaves his loving daughters-in-law, Cherilyn and Sarah; along with great-grandchildren, Thomas, Natalia, Luciana, Adonis, Julian, Lucia, Destin, Vicente, Jacob and Carson; and so many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Ralph and Rose Vertucci Luciano; sisters, Theresa Rivellini, Angela DiBiaso, Frances Aiudi; and his brothers, Alfred, Dominic, Anthony and Ralph Luciano, Jr.

His funeral procession left the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave., Monday for a Mass of Christian burial in Holy Infant Church at 10 a.m. Interment followed in St. Lawrence Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101-9929 or the Closer to Free Fund, PO Box 1849, New Haven, CT 06508, which jointly supports Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale New Haven and Yale Cancer Center.
