Margaret Carey Coley, 75, of Orange, beloved wife of William Booth Coley completed her earthly journey on Friday, January 5, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Margaret was born on December 17, 1948, in Waterbury to the late John J. Carey Sr. and Mary Zapatka Carey.
In addition to her husband of 45 years, she is survived by her daughter Michelle (Richard) Corcoran of North Haven, her granddaughters Madelyn and Molly Corcoran, her brother Robert (Carolyn) Carey of Jamesville, NY, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her brother John J. Carey Jr.
Margaret loved spending time with her family and cherished every moment spent with her beloved granddaughters. She also loved to visit with and give treats to her granddogs. She was an avid reader and loved to research and discuss family genealogy. She also loved to keep up with her favorite sports teams (Mets and Red Sox) and current events.
Margaret’s family would like to thank the Stratford VNA and Assisted Living Services for their care, and a special thank you to the ICU doctors, nurses, and other staff at Yale New Haven Hospital for their care and compassion during her final week
Family and friends are invited to a Parlor Service in the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 830 Jones Hill Rd., West Haven THURSDAY morning at 10:30. Interment will follow in Coley Cemetery (Rte. 57) Weston Rd. Weston, CT. Family and friends may call THURSDAY morning from 8:30 until the time of service.
